Change of mind? Here’s what you need to know

At Jingle, we understand that sometimes plans change and we want to make sure you know exactly where you stand before your loan begins.

What the law says

Under Section 135 of the National Credit Code, a 14-day cooling-off period may apply to some credit contracts. However, this applies only when:

  • The contract is signed in person, and
  • The borrower hasn’t yet accessed the funds.

Because Jingle is a fully digital lender, our loan agreements are accepted and funded online. That means this statutory cooling-off period does not apply once your contract is accepted and funds are disbursed.

What happens if you change your mind

If you’ve accepted your loan offer but your funds haven’t yet been transferred, you can contact us straight away. If the disbursement hasn’t occurred, we’ll do our best to cancel your loan at no cost to you.

We believe in keeping things simple, transparent, and fair — and that includes giving you a moment to pause if your circumstances shift right after applying.

After the funds are sent

Once your funds have been transferred, your loan becomes legally binding, and the statutory cooling-off period does not apply.

However, Jingle provides an additional customer benefit:

  • You may cancel your loan within 48 hours of receiving the funds if you repay the full loan amount advanced.
  • No establishment fees, monthly fees, or interest will be charged, provided repayment is made in full within this 48-hour period.
  • After this period, normal loan terms apply.

If you are outside the 48-hour return period but experience financial difficulty, you may be eligible for assistance under our Financial Hardship Policy, which offers flexible solutions to help you get back on track.
